A former commercial bank lender and trust officer, Ron has been actively managing and selling real estate since 1975.  He opened Root Realty at their present 1710 W. Belmont location over twenty-five years ago.  He has consistently been recognized as a multimillion dollar seller.  Ron is an experienced property owner having rehabbed numerous properties for resale as well as upgrading buildings to add to his own portfolio.  He is familiar with all types of real estate, but likes to specialize in the sale and management of apartment buildings and mixed use properties.  He has also been a consistent volunteer for many causes including Catholic Charities, Kiwanis, Sulzer Library Foundation, and has served on the board of the Lincoln-Belmont YMCA.

Joe specializes in representing and advising property owners and investors on multi-family real estate transactions.  He is a Court Appointed Receiver in the Circuit Court of Cook County and represents a number of local and national lenders with distressed real estate portfolios. Before joining Root Realty, Joe worked in Institutional Sales at a New York City Investment Bank. Joe is a graduate of Fordham University.

Michael V Root grew up on Chicago's north side. He has always been interested in the real estate business. While pursuing a degree in marketing at the University of Dayton, Michael obtained his real estate license, and completed his first commercial leasing transaction to a well-known Chicago based restaurant. This successful deal solidified his eagerness to return to Chicago and begin his career. Now he is activley involved in commercial sales, as well as property management and leasing. He is a practicing Illinois Real Estate Broker. Michael is on the Associate Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago. His drive and ambition proves to continue his success; he has been a primary player in nearly 100 transactions since his start in 2005.

Brent joined the team at Root Realty as a Broker Associate in August of 2010. Brent worked for the last two years in the tri-city region of North Chicago-Waukegan-Zion for MT Homes, LLC where he managed over 230 residential rental units and assisted in the rehabilitation of over 60 single-family houses and apartment buildings. While there he also became a licensed real estate broker and helped coordinate a timely closing of over 50 real estate transactions. Before his time at MT Homes, Brent worked as an intern for the net lease brokerage department at Syndicated Equities in downtown Chicago. Brent has worked closely with YouthBuild Lake County to educate young people who developed a passion for construction and is active with Young Real Estate Professionals in Chicago. Brent resides in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood and earned a degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia.
