IPX 1031 Event
On March 30th, 2019 Root Realty and IPX 1031 hosted a group of twenty landlords who own apartment buildings in Austin and Rogers Park to our offices. Investment property brokers from Root Realty provided an update on the rental and sales statistics in those markets.
Anna Barksy of IPX 1031 provided an overview of a 1031 Exchange for apartment investors and Opportunity Zone investments. IPX is a division of Fortune 500 Company Fidelity National Financial. IPX specializes in 1031 Exchange tax deferment strategies. For anyone who may not be familiar with a 1031 Exchange it is a way to exchange property. This includes properties that are used for business or investment purposes in exchange for another like-kind property. The benefit in doing so is to be able to defer capital gains taxation. These property’s can include retail, multi-family, residential rentals, and even land!
